Rise for the Dawn: Pioneering Women Past and Present

As a partner organization of Compassionate Houston, Tagore Society of Houston, jointly with the Bahai Faith will hold an event titled "Rise for the Dawn: Pioneering Women, Past & Present".

“Until the reality of equality between man and woman is fully established and attained, the highest social development of mankind is not possible.”  - Abdu’l-Bahá

“At last the time has arrived when a woman must step in and impart her life rhythm to the reckless movement of power." - Rabindranath Tagore

Please join us in exploring with our distinguished panelists the lives drawn from different corners of the world focusing on the early heroines from the households of Tagore and the founder of the Bahá’í Faith and several pioneering women from that era that help illuminate the themes of unity, compassion and inclusiveness.

The event will include songs, poetry readings and a panel discussion where the panelists will discuss the role of the early women in the transformation of society and how they have inspired them to practice in their lives unity, compassion and woman empowerment particularly emphasizing the roles of pioneering women of the Tagore Household and the early Bahá’í History.
