About Barnali
Barnali (বর্ণালী) — meaning “colourful” in Bengali — is the Tagore Society of Houston’s flagship annual festival. Now in its decades-long tradition, Barnali brings together artists from Houston, across the United States, and from South Asia for two evenings of world-class cultural performances.

Day One — Friday, July 25

- Odissi and Bharatanatyam dance presentations

Past Barnali Highlights
Barnali has featured performers from the Sangeet Natak Akademi, Kolkata’s Tagore birth house at Jorasanko, as well as prominent Houston-based Bengali artists. Each year, the programme is freshly curated to balance classical tradition with contemporary expression.
